# I can create and manage transport rates (Local)

**Step 1:** Navigate to the local rate management page in the logistic rates module.

**Step 2:** Click on **Add Transport Rate**.

A pop-up window will appear for entering the details.

**Step 3:** Fill in the **Loading Area**.

**Step 4:** Specify the **Destination**.

_Loading area and Destination area are the areas around pick-up and delivery sites. By defining loading/delivery areas you can then use the same transport rates for multiple sites being in the same areas_

**Step 5:** Choose one of the three **Transport Modes**.

**Step 6:** Select the **Transport Type**.

**Step 7:** Select the **Material Group**, as rates can change based on the type of material carried

**Step 8:** Choose the **Carrier**.

**Step 9:** Input the **Transport Rate**.

**Step 10:** Specify the **Validity Period**.

After entering all the details:

**Step 11:** Click on **Save**.

The new rate will appear on the page. It's possible to renew, edit, or delete the rates.

## Managing Multiple Rates

**Step 1:** To renew or delete multiple rates, select the rates to modify.
