# I can edit and cancel a purchase or a sale

**This tutorial provides a step-by-step guide on how to edit or cancel a purchase or sale in Jules.**

**Editing a Purchase**

**Step 1:** Select a purchase on the purchase page.

**Step 2:** Click **Edit** to modify the general information.

**Step 3:** Click **Edit** next to the status column to change the purchase status.

Note: The status options include confirmed, closed, lost, cancelled, and opportunity.

**Step 4:** Click **Edit** in the materials tab to modify the material details.

**Step 5:** After editing, return to the purchase page.

**Cancelling a Purchase**

**Step 1:** Locate the purchase in the operations table and navigate to the right side. Click on **Details** and then **Cancel**.

**Step 2:** Choose a cancellation reason from options such as over competitive code, operational problems, documentation and license issue, or other reasons.

For instance, select operational problems.

After confirming, the purchase gets deleted successfully.

**Editing and Cancelling a Sale**

The same steps apply for a sale. Navigate to the sales page.

**Cancelling a Sale**

**Step 1:** Navigate to the right side, click on **Details** and then **Cancel**.

**Editing a Sale**

**Step 1:** Click on the sale. Click on the pencil icon next to **Status** to edit the status.
