# I can generate and send a purchase order

This guide focuses on generating and sharing a purchase order using the purchases module.

**Step 1:** Navigate to the purchases module and select the **Purchases (Trading)** page.

**Step 2:** Choose the order to work on by selecting the desired order.

**Step 3:** Proceed to the **Document Center** tab.

**Step 4:** In the purchase contract row, select **Edit**.

**Step 5:** Fill in all the necessary details and click on **Generate and Download** to create the order.

## Sharing the Sales Order

**Step 1:** To share the generated order, use the **Notify** feature.

**Step 2:** Click on **External Communication**.

**Step 3:** Choose the recipient

**Step 5:** Click on **Attach Docs**

**Step 6:** In the purchase tab, select the generated purchase contract.

**Step 7:** Attach the selected contract by clicking on **Attach**.

**Step 8:** Finally, click on **Send** to share the order.
