# I can use the document stepper

## Edit Status from Doc Stepper

**Step 1:** Navigate to the **Logistics** module.

**Step 2:** Open the **Shipments** page.

**Step 3:** Look for the **documents** column in the display list.

*   _If the column is not displayed, you can select it from the column selector._
    
*   _The "Docs" stepper is different from the "Progress" stepper. The latter is not linked to documents and can be personalized_

**Step 5:** Click on the **document stepper**.

**Step 6:** Edit the status of each document.

_After updating, the tracker automatically updates the completion date._

_Note that the dropdown becomes available only after generating or loading the document._

## Edit status from Document List

The updated status also reflects in the document list.

**Step 1:** Go to the drawer and click on the **shipment**.

**Step 2:** Click on the **documents** option. The documents become available for updates after they've been uploaded or generated.
