The Remarks Field Is Not Showing on My Invoice
How Jules handles invoice fields
In Jules, the invoice has two distinct fields:
- Comments: a free-text field you fill in on the invoice form
- Remarks: the field displayed on the PDF document, configured in the invoice template
By default, the invoice template is set to display the content of the Comments field in the Remarks section. Any information entered in "Comments" will automatically appear in "Remarks" on the printed document.
Case 1 — Remarks not showing but I filled in the Comments field
- Open the invoice in Jules
- Verify that the Comments field contains the desired text
- Re-generate the PDF by clicking Download
- If the field remains empty on the PDF, contact support — the invoice template in use may need an adjustment
Case 2 — I want to display a fixed mandatory notice (not linked to comments)
If you want a notice to appear systematically on all your invoices (e.g. VAT number, legal clause, terms of sale), this notice must be hard-coded into the invoice template.
Contact support at help@julesai.com specifying:
- The exact text of the notice
- The desired position on the invoice (header, footer, remarks section)
- Whether the notice should be conditional or systematic
Case 3 — I want to use a different field for remarks
The template can be adjusted to link the Remarks field to any other Jules field (e.g. order reference, payment terms). Submit a request to support describing the desired behavior.
